How To Hang Canvas Art

There are many different ways to hang and display your favorite piece of canvas art. It can be placed in so many different areas around your home or business.
A lot of people are under the impression that canvas art has to be hung on a wall. This is very far from the truth! Allow your creativity to emerge and review your options and you might just be extremely pleased with the result.
Wall art can be displayed anywhere on an easel. Whether it be a small plate holder for smaller pieces or a large, full size artist's easel tucked neatly in a corner of the room. This draws the attention of the eye because it is unexpected and accomplishes what you want. Your visitors to notice that piece of artwork.
Of course canvas prints can be hung on a wall with nails or hooks. Some choose to attach picture hanging wire on the back of the piece. This is a good idea if the artwork is hung high as the tension on the wire can be adjusted for the piece to hang at a downward tilt, the top away from the wall. Perfect for bringing the piece to more of an eye level.
But picture hangers are not necessary. The canvas is stretched over a frame made of wood so the only thing really needed is a nail. Put the nail in the wall, center the canvas art over the nail and hang it suspended from that nail. This isn't the way usually recommended but for a temporary fix because you just don't want to wait to hang it, it would be sufficient.
Ledges and shelves are perfect for displaying your canvas art. The piece can be leaned against the wall while being supported by that ledge or shelf. It's different and looks really nice. Best of all, your artwork is safe from tumbling down from the wall. Fireplace mantels are a perfect example of this type of display and allow for multiple pieces in different sizes and heights.
